Fellows developed enduring resources to guide individual faculty and campus groups in addressing these issues.<\/p>\n<p>This fellowship program extends the CTL\u2019s mission of supporting lifelong learning and building a community of teachers who strengthen the culture of excellent and inclusive teaching at the CTL. It is an opportunity for teachers in the Claremont Community to show leadership and develop their expertise. Fellows dedicate about 20 hours per semester to the shared project, and receive an honorarium from the CTL for their commitment. The CTL selects a diverse group of Fellows from multiple disciplines and multiple campuses.<\/p>\n<p>In 2023-2024, the CTL had a group of faculty fellows focusing on <strong>Beyond Course Evaluations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The CTL brought together faculty from across the Claremont Colleges to research alternatives\/additions to course evaluations. At the end of the academic year, fellows shared their findings in ways that help inform institutional and individual faculty practice. This included resource guides (e.g., a \u2018how-to\u2019 with bibliography), presentations for tenure\/promotion committees, and live workshops, panels, and discussions.<\/p>\n<p>Areas of focus included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop a training for RPTs\/APTs for equitable, informed assessments of teaching<\/li>\n<li>Develop a training for equitable, informed peer observation of teaching<\/li>\n<li>Create (and pilot) a 5C \u201cteaching observation triad\u201d program<\/li>\n<li>Create a \u201cthree voices\u201d framework for assessing teaching<\/li>\n<li>Develop a template for doable, effective faculty teaching portfolios<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CTL faculty fellows worked in collaboration with each other and with CTL staff to research and respond to existing or emerging areas of concern (or interest!) related to teaching at [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":218,"featured_media":0,"parent":844,"menu_order":1,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_price":"","_stock":"","_tribe_ticket_header":"","_tribe_default_ticket_provider":"","_tribe_ticket_capacity":"0","_ticket_start_date":"","_ticket_end_date":"","_tribe_ticket_show_description":"","_tribe_ticket_show_not_going":false,"_tribe_ticket_use_global_stock":"","_tribe_ticket_global_stock_level":"","_global_stock_mode":"","_global_stock_cap":"","_tribe_rsvp_for_event":"","_tribe_ticket_going_count":"","_tribe_ticket_not_going_count":"","_tribe_tickets_list":"[]","_tribe_ticket_has_attendee_info_fields":false,"footnotes":"","_tec_slr_enabled":"","_tec_slr_layout":""},"class_list":["post-1481","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.2 -
