Pomona College Organic Farm
The Pomona College Organic Farm is a 1.2 acre working farm in the southeast corner of the Pomona College campus. The farm contains fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, chickens, bee hives, and a beloved structure called the Earth Dome. Food waste from The Coop, the Sagehen Cafe, and Pomona’s dining facilities is composted at the farm. Students and community members maintain the farm, and often host local school groups, community tours, and sponsor volunteer activities.
The Farm has been used my many students over the years to conduct research, often for senior theses. Classes also visit the farm to give students a hands-on experience in sustainability, ecology, and organic farming. The Farm is a beloved part of Pomona College and offers many exciting opportunities for students, faculty, and community members alike.
