Our Torah Scrolls

Holocaust Torah

This Torah was written around 1860 and is from the town of D’vur Králové in the modern-day Czech Republic. The Torah is one of 1,564 scrolls from Bohemia and Moravia recovered and preserved by the Memorial Scrolls Trust. The scrolls are lent to Jewish organizations to keep alive the memory of the lives lost in the Holocaust.  We have been caring for this scroll for 35 years. We read from it each Yom Kippur and remember all those who perished in the Holocaust. More information about Dvur Kralove is coming soon.

See the Memorial Scrolls Trust website for more information about the 1,500 scrolls it has distributed around the world.
