All students who haven\u2019t participated in the CCO before are required to audition. Former orchestra members are <em>not<\/em>\u00a0required to audition; however, they are welcome to do so if they would like their seating assignment to be reconsidered.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Audition materials consist of a short piece of your choice (up to 7 minutes) and excerpts from the repertoire that the orchestra will perform in 2026-2027 (see bullet point below)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/drive\/folders\/1SbAzX1CsYF7NtC_Ib_9VRwLfNcPlTcYJ?usp=sharing\">2026-27 Audition Excerpts<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.signupgenius.com\/go\/20F044BACA923A7FA7-65045224-ccoauditions\">Click here to sign up for an audition<\/a><\/li>\n<li>In-person orchestra auditions are scheduled to take place in room PAC 118 of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/SWq1jXsTueHpu53c9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scripps College Performing<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/G7fAnTA7do3N2Ga17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u00a0Arts Center<\/a>. A map of the building can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1_aUmvJT_xwkznS94_DBw18dhD1J4l3qY\/view?usp=sharing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>IMPORTANT NOTE: We are aware that the days before the semester begins can be hectic and completely understand that many students may not have the time to adequately practice before their audition. We will certainly take into account the challenging circumstances while listening to each student.
