Crossroads, Inc.<\/a><\/h3>\n

For over 45 years, Crossroads, Inc. has provided housing, education, counseling, employment training, and other vital forms of support to formerly incarcerated women after their release. Their mission is not only to cultivate new skills, but to build resilient communities as some of the best defenses against recidivism.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program<\/a><\/h3>\n

The Inside-Out Prison Exchange Program was founded in 1997 by Professor Lori Pompa and brings campus-based and incarcerated students together for semester-long courses in carceral facilities, fostering dialogue and growth.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Insight Garden Program<\/a><\/h3>\n

IGP transforms lives by connecting incarcerated people to nature through gardening and vocational training, fostering internal and external growth to end cycles of incarceration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Prison Education Project<\/a><\/h3>\n

Founded by Professor Renford Reese, PEP has worked with over 8,000 inmates across 17 CA facilities with the help of 3,000+ student\/faculty volunteers\u2014making it the largest volunteer-based prison education program in the U.S.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Prototypes Women’s Center Pomona<\/a><\/h3>\n

Since 1986, Prototypes has supported women facing domestic violence, homelessness, substance abuse, and HIV\/AIDS, while also housing the Community Prisoner Mother Program for mothers with young children.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

The Reintegration Academy<\/a><\/h3>\n

In partnership with Project Rebound and PEP, this 8-week program helps parolees transition through academics, life skills, and job fairs\u2014culminating in college enrollment and community reentry success.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Starting Over, Inc.<\/a><\/h3>\n

Starting Over, Inc. provides transitional housing and reentry services for formerly incarcerated individuals, domestic violence survivors, and those recovering from substance abuse through education, peer support, and leadership training.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Dancing Through Prison Walls<\/h3>\n

Dancing Through Prison Walls is a California-based dance and performance project whose mission is to dance with, choreograph with, and tell stories within embodied carceral landscapes and beyond, amplifying voices of incarcerated folks, and addressing mass incarceration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Californians Coalition for Women Prisoners (CCWP)<\/h3>\n

CCWP is a grassroots abolitionist organization\u2014with members inside and outside prison\u2014that challenges the institutional violence imposed on women, transgender people, and communities of color by the prison industrial complex (PIC). We see the struggle for racial and gender justice as central to dismantling the PIC and we prioritize the leadership of the people, families, and communities most impacted in building this movement.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Californians United for a Responsible Budget (CURB)<\/h3>\n

Californians United for a Responsible Budget (CURB) is a Black-led statewide coalition of more than 80 grassroots organizations working to reduce incarceration across California. Our mission is to decrease the number of people in prisons and jails, close harmful facilities, and redirect state spending from punishment to programs that strengthen and heal our communities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

California Rehabilitation Center (CRC)<\/a><\/h3>\n

CRC in Norco is a medium-level correctional facility. Professors from the Claremont Colleges teach credit-bearing Inside-Out courses there, with degree programs expanding soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

California Institution for Women (CIW)<\/a><\/h3>\n

CIW in Chino has hosted co-curricular programs for two decades. The Justice Education Initiative is preparing to launch Inside-Out courses with college credit.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Camp Afflerbaugh-Paige<\/a><\/h3>\n

A juvenile probation camp for boys 13\u201318, where Pitzer students partner with high school classrooms to provide enrichment and educational programs.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Prototypes Women\u2019s Center Pomona (CPMP)<\/a><\/h3>\n
