Enact Allyship
An ally is a member of a dominant social group who takes a stand against social injustice directed at a target group(s), for instance, white people who are anti-racist, heterosexual people who combat heterosexism and homophobia, and cisgender people who speak out against transphobia and gender oppression. An ally works to be an agent of social change, rather than one of continued oppression. Allyship is critical as we build solidarity to create more inclusive, just, and equitable societies. It is actively working for a better world. And it is something that we need to be always striving to do better. Check out the lists here of specific things to keep in mind when enacting allyship and working in solidarity with Bi/Pan/Fluid communities, QTPOC communities, and Transgender/Gender Non-conforming communities!
