DESCRIPTION:In this one-hour mini-workshop\, we’ll show you how to quickly mock up a shoe using very simple materials – painter’s tape\, plastic wrap and a blow dryer. The mini-workshop is great for anyone who has an interest in shoes\, shoemaking\, or how to learn from extremely simple prototypes.\nNo prior experience necessary. But you will need to wear socks!

DESCRIPTION:Join us at the Hive for Fear Fest\, an event where all the participants address one of their fears in a public supportive setting. \nHow does it work?\n1. Send brief description of the fear that you will be enacting (singing publicly\, snake handling\, being in an enclosed space\, monsters\, etc). The Hive team will need this to make sure that we can accommodate the requests in a safe and supportive manner.\nThe link to the Sign Up Sheet\nhttp://goo.gl/forms/1IPZE4UVRw \n2. Show up to the Hive at 7pm on Thursday 10/30. Due to the potentially vulnerable nature of these activities\, all attendees must also be sharing/exploring one of their fears. (no exceptions – The Hive team will be doing it too.)\n3. Explore your fear in a supportive environment. \nThe goal of fear fest is for all of us to gain more confidence in the face of our fears. DESCRIPTION:We’re super thrilled to have our first student-run mini-workshop. This week William Lamb (Pomona second year) will give us an introduction to 3D printing by showing us the basics of shape manipulation in Meshmixer. By the end of the workshop you’ll have made a 3D shape. After the workshop we’ll print your design for you.  \nNO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.  \nImportant Notes!\n1. We’ll have limited spots/equipment so if you can\, please bring your own laptop with Meshmixer downloaded. http://www.meshmixer.com/download.html\n2. If you bring your own laptop\, you’ll also need a mouse.\n3. It’s awesome to bring your own laptop because you’ll then be able to play with these tools at home.
