Designing Your Team<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>(DYT)<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>a program modeled after the book,\u00a0<\/span>Designing Your Life<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span>by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans, of the Stanford d.school,\u00a0<\/span>was developed using<\/span>\u00a0human-centered\u00a0<\/span>design techniques<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>These workshops uniquely tackle topics such as\u00a0<\/span>identity<\/span>, team values,\u00a0<\/span>leadership<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>accountability, reflection<\/span>, communication, resilience, and ambiguity<\/span>.\u00a0<\/span>Prompted activities, conversations, and discussions\u00a0<\/span>fall into parts of the design thinking process to\u00a0<\/span>help\u00a0<\/span>create a<\/span>\u00a0novel,<\/span>\u00a0interactive, and engaging curriculum for teams of all sorts.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span>n 2018<\/span>, DYT founding d<\/span>irectors Fred Leichter and Shannon Randolph<\/span>, created this series of workshops<\/span>\u00a0at the\u00a0<\/span>Rick and Susan Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity (The Hive). The first session was run for the Pomona-Pitzer soccer team — Since then, DYT has expanded to more teams than just those of athletics across The Claremont Colleges.<\/span><\/p>\n
