Professor and Hive Director of Global Impact Shannon Randolph\u2019s work uses a combination of human-centered design and anthropological methods to reframe environmental and health issues from local perspectives. Over the last few years, she has worked alongside student design teams and nonprofit organization Animals Asia to promote herbal alternatives to animal medicines such as bear bile. Shannon and team recently released a book of herbal recipes that makes communal and generational knowledge more widely accessible. The design of the book was informed by years of community engagement, research, and co-design work, and its launch was covered on the national news in Vietnam.<\/p>\n
