MS 49 SC: Intro to Media Studies

This course will provide an overview of the development of the new media of photography, film, video, and digital imaging and examine principles of visual literacy. Drawing from a variety of texts and other theoretically informed models (film, video, new media), this course will provide students with a critical understanding of popular and/or mass cultural production.
