Getting Lost in Nature: Collaborative Art and Coastal Sage Tea Party

Get lost in nature and immerse yourself in the fragrant coastal sage in the Bernard Field Station with Artists-in-Residence Monica Mahoney (Pitzer faculty), Rebecca Krinke, and Emily Stover (University of Minnesota faculty). We will collaborate on the making of a place-based tablecloth by tracing + drawing leaves, branches, stones, and coastal sage bush, as we learn about the coastal sage scrub ecosystem and the plant’s history and properties. Come celebrate with a cup of coastal sage tea atop our tablecloth-artwork as we all make sage “shower bouquets” to take home and enjoy.
