How to 3D Print Anything Workshop

Prerequisite: Download Fusion 360. Free trial available. Link below.
Have you been eager to enter the exciting and expanding world of 3D printing and additive manufacturing? Imagine having a tool and the knowledge to turn your wildest dreams into physical manifestations.
Come learn a process for deconstructing the objects you see in everyday life and reimagine those as the building blocks for your project ideas. Also, discover how to dodge the mistakes one makes as a novice computer-aided designer and 3D printer printer. We will begin with practicing some basic sketching techniques that you can use as a foundation for any computer-aided design (CAD). Then, we’ll dive into using Fusion 360, learning the general design process that you could use in any CAD software. Before your departure, we’ll point you to some on-campus, off-campus and online resources for CAD and 3D printing.
The workshop will be led my Kian Etedali (Pitzer 20’) and Timothy Moore (JMU ‘15).
