Know Y(our) History: Immigrant Realities
November 9, 2017 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
The topic of immigration has often been represented by the media through a single image. Yet, every immigration story is different, and each community has its own reality.
We will have (1) student storytelling/video clips that highlight immigrant experiences across cultures and (2) practical workshops to help design immigrant careers, create supportive art and brainstorm future ideas for pro-immigrant events.
This event is an opportunity to hear from a range of immigration histories and engage in activities to concretely support immigrants. This evening is organized by Andikan Archibong PO ’17, Post-Baccalaureate Fellow; The Hive; Nicole Weekes, Ph.D., Associate Dean of the College; and the President’s Advisory Committee of Diversity (PACD).
The focus of this particular KYH event is on students. However, and as always, the event is free and open to the public. Join us at 8pm in The Hive.
