Warm up like a Design Thinker!

October 10, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Design is essential in fabricating the definition in what makes up the reality of today. But emphasizing the importance of collaboration with creativity is essential in further defining the wheel of inventing and improving our societal issues and challenges ahead.

In a world where interdisciplinary knowledge is essential in building the best projects and services to assist everyday tasks, this workshop will take the stance of how industry influences in design thinking and human-centered design have utilized team warm-ups to design much more empathetic experiences.

The Hive offers students at the Claremont Colleges an array of creative design tools for ideation and experimentation. From The Hive’s Human-Centered Design class or Intro to Design Thinking workshops, to IDEO and Stanford d.school methodologies in creating creative human impact, this workshop wraps together elements of collaborative design from the Claremont Colleges to industry practice.

Participants will learn how to further develop working more effectively in teams, unlocking or refreshing their creative talents, as well as learning more about the collaborative design process. Human-centered design and design thinking are applicable even beyond the creative and collaborative design processes and are important tool-kits for students to have in their personal. professional, and academic lives.

This workshop is led by Jordan Wong (PZ’19), a student at Pitzer College.
