Space to Grieve

HMC senior and current Hive student staffer, Kaitlyn Paulsen, along with project partner Anya Zimmerman-Smith (CMC ’21) are putting their knowledge of human-centered design to good use. The duo is impacting the healthcare profession through their research on the stereotypes and emotions surrounding grief among healthcare providers. Paulsen and Zimmerman-Smith discovered The Honor Project, an intentional space at the University of San Francisco Medical Center used for processing emotions such as grief, and set out to develop ways to share The Honor Project with medical communities across the country. Read more about the duo’s  research and The Honor Project in the full magazine article “Space to Grieve.”
